On 5 December 2022, the body of Sivenathi Sebe was discovered at a railroad station in Pretoria West. Sivenathi disappeared on November 4, 2022. When her companions saw that she had not returned, they contacted the authorities.
At the police station, the friends were informed that a female body had been discovered behind the Pretoria West Market, and they were referred to Forensic Pathology Services. The companions were able to identify Sivenathi’s lifeless body upon their arrival at the Pathology Services department and were informed by the forensic officer that she had reportedly been murdered.
On November 11, 2022, her relatives identified her body and viewed her postmortem report. Sivenathi was discovered near to the train station with a damaged windpipe (suggesting she was strangled) and had been sexually assaulted, according to the investigation.
It is said that after the family obtained the police records, they discovered that the police wrote in her report that she went to sleep and was discovered the following morning, with no indication of an assault or medical condition. The family subsequently questioned the investigating officer, but she is unavailable to speak with them.
