There was a lot of backlash against the father a few years ago since he was paying lobola on behalf of his then-18-year-old son Syacela and his then-16-year-old wife Thando. This young couple’s wedding received so much attention that it became the subject of a documentary on Moja love. The general public has always been against the couple’s union and has assumed, with reasonable certainty, that they will eventually end up divorced.
Syacela decided last week that he wanted to marry the woman with whom he had been having an affair, and he has since broken up with his wife Thando. Syacela’s marriage to his wife started to fall apart after he admitted to having an affair.
On yesterday’s episode, Thando admitted to herself that she no longer loves her spouse and that she sees no reason to stay in a marriage where there is no longer any love. Sorry, Mom, but I just don’t feel anything for him. I don’t want to lie, that much is true. Thando elaborated, saying, “There isn’t always more.”
Twitter has evolved into a place where individuals can discuss this issue and share their thoughts. Many have come to the same conclusion that Thando has, and so they are relieved that he finally has the guts to admit it “When I finish high school, I’m out of here. A second Twitter user chimed in with, “Thando says, “I’ve never been happier;” he plans to never return after leaving. At some point, Thando figures out that Syacela isn’t the one for her.
