At the mother of Mampintsha’s funeral on Saturday, Babes Wodumo put on a brave front. Many people believed that the singer’s exclusion from the service was related to their public spat with Zamanguni Gumede.
The Wololo hitmaker praised the late woman and claimed that because Zamanguni gave birth to her late husband Mampintsha, she was to her like a mother. She claimed that because God had taught her forgiveness, the problems she faced with Zamanguni and her in-laws were now a thing of the past. Babes made fun of the fact that conflict and turmoil are common in families.
After viewing a video, worried TikTok users claimed Babes appeared inebriated and depressed.
A video of Babes Wodumo dancing in front of her mother-mother-in-law Zamanguni Gumede’s coffin over the weekend has drawn criticism.
After apparently having a stroke a few weeks after the demise of her son and fellow Big Nuz group member Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, who also died of a stroke, Gumede was laid to rest on Saturday, January 21.
In the viral video, Babes Wodumo, who is dressed in a black dress and a red cap, can be seen dancing in front of her mother-in-casket law’s to the hit song Ngeke by her late husband.
In the video, the Wololo hitmaker dances and even does the well-known vosho dance move to the applause of mourners at the burial.
