After Thando’s fight with Manto, she gets into another fight with Siyacela over a girl. In this latest episode of #IsencaneLengane, Thando talks about Siyacela beating her. Siyacela have admitted to hitting her, on TV. Siyacela beat Thando because a girl who is her friend called her. Apparently, Siyacela does not want Thando to have friends. He recently revealed in the show that he does choose her friends.
We have saw Thando in the last season that she did not have a phone, and it was only him having a phone. Now that Thando has a phone, he smashes the phone. The abuse Thando is suffering at the hands of Siyacela is uncalled-for. This boy does not deserve this girl. The worst thing about this issue is him admitting on a national TV that he beat her. I’m so disappointed as a woman in this country.
How can a young woman experience abuse and even tell the whole ordeal on camera to producers and nothing is happening to an abuser in name of viewers or content. I have been watching the show since season 1 and Siyacela hasn’t changed. What hurts most about this situation is that Thando is going to go back to that fool. Often times, an abusive partner will isolate you from friends and family in order to maintain control and power over you.
Siyacela is an abuser of note. Siyacela is a man that doesn’t want his wife to have any friends or family and wants to control any friendships that she has is abusive. Fake waterworks, chooses your friends, tries to cut your financial access, hits you with a belt, slaps you, treats you like a child, wants to apologize in private to manipulate you. Narcissists don’t know how to love, and the victims usually don’t know how to leave because of being broken down for years.
