Pearl Shongwe will be remembered for her extra ordinary work she put it. She was a remarkable woman and many of her colleagues looked up to her. She was always laughing and dancing at the radio station.

Metrofm and the whole of Sabc has lost an icon who knew and loved her job. Everyone who worked with her are paying a beautiful tribute to her, and sharing different stories on how was it like to work with her. Her memorial service is held on one of the Sabc studios with her Metrofm colleagues.
Metrofm will not be the same without her. She was a hard worker and everyone should be grateful to have worked with her. Pearl left many inspired. Her friends and family should stay strong, it is good that they are receiving all the support. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
