Bonang Matheba’s Silence Following AKA’s Demise Incites Fury
Bonang Matheba has been silent following the demise of her ex-boyfriend AKA and Mzansi is not pleased.
While numerous celebrities and ordinary fans have paid their last respects to the Congratulate rapper, Bonang has maintained her silence.
AKA and longtime friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane died after being shot last Friday outside a restaurant in Durban.
News of the rapper’s untimely death plunged South Africa into mourning. However, Bonang has been silent with her last Instagram post being on Valentine’s Day.
Taking to her verified Instagram account, Bonang shared a snap of her wearing a red outfit and captioned the post “…the month of love. 🥰❤️ @dhairboutique. Happy Valentine’s Day….🥰❤️ #ValentinesDay”.
While some of those who took to the comments section praised her, a section was unhappy that she has continued to bluetick the demise of AKA. Below are some of the comments:

However, another section defended the media personality and suggested she had paid her last respects in private. At the time of publishing, it could not be established if she had indeed done so.
AKA and Bonang dated from 2015 to 2017. The couple had a nasty public breakup and AKA dedicated a diss song titled Beyonce.
He also caused a stir on Twitter when he revealed that he had found rocks tied in a packet in his bedroom cupboard. Although he did not mention any names, tweeps were able to put two and two together.
DJ Zinhle, who has a child with the late rapper even paid his last respects to him. Cassper Nyovest who many considered to be AKA’s bitter rival also paid his last respects to the Jealousy rapper.
